While I am open to the possibility that AI may have potential value in select spheres, (maybe it could help us cure cancer someday? That’d be cool.) I do not believe that generative AI and LLMs have a place in the humanities. I do not use generative A.I. in any of my creative endeavors, in any way. I don’t split hairs when it comes to using AI for research, idea generation or any other aspect related to my creative writing — I do not think it has a place in creative writing and I do not use it. Further, I don’t endorse the use of generative AI assisted editing or art, and will not knowingly use either in the creation or promotion of my works. If you see an image on one of my pinterest vision boards that you suspect may be AI, please let me know so that I can remove it — at this stage in my career, it presents the only possible avenue where I might unknowingly make use of an AI generated image. Further, I do not consent to the use of generative AI in relation to my work, with or without my knowledge, and retain the right to pursue legal action if my work is fed into any AI or LMM platform for any reason. I will only contract the services of human editors, artists and voice artists, and expect that they do not employ the use of AI on projects relating to my works.
